NPI Materials Project Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. The NPI Materials Project Manager will drive engineering, materials and manufacturing requirements, coordinate sourcing activities and ensure successful product commercialization in our Singapore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials and manufacturing needs to suppliers, and coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimise inventory exposure.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis, support outsourcing decisions and manage the materials change‑control process.
• Negotiate supplier price, delivery and contracts, conduct risk assessments and monitor supplier performance on cost, quality and delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify critical and long‑lead parts, develop supplier road‑maps and generate key process indicators.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in materials sourcing, supplier risk assessment and cost analysis.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional teams, including engineering, quality and production control.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering cost‑effective solutions.
