Observability Solutions Architect

About the role

Cisco is looking for an Observability Solutions Architect in Singapore to act as the key advisor for Splunk's observability offerings during the evaluation stage of the sales process, alongside the sales team, customers and partners. The role leads the technology evaluation phase, drives customer satisfaction across the sales lifecycle and works within the Unified Engagement Model (UEM) on moderately complex accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Showcase Splunk's products and services through presentations and webinars, onsite and at industry events
• Act as a trusted functional specialist, explaining Splunk's value to technical and business customers
• Develop tailored solutions and build relationships with customers from technical staff to senior management
• Guide prospects through technical queries and solution exploration, and respond to RFPs and RFIs
• Take part in proof-of-concept and proof-of-value events and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Solutions Engineering team
• Partner with marketing to build content and showcase Splunk's value

Required profile

• Presales / technical sales experience in a software vendor environment with proven results
• Ability to run discovery sessions and craft detailed RFI/RFP responses
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, and willingness to travel
• Role prioritises Singapore citizens

Required skills

• MELT observability fundamentals, including correlation, sampling and high-cardinality control
• OpenTelemetry across instrumentation, collectors and context propagation
• Cloud-native and Kubernetes observability, and Kubernetes networking and service mesh
• APM internals and runtime instrumentation (Java.NET, Node.js, Python)
• CI/CD, incident management and ITSM integration; FinOps awareness
• Preferred: large-scale platform experience, production incident ownership, compliance observability design, and certifications in Otel, hyperscalers or data domains
