About the role
SingHealth is hiring an Operating Theatre Technician Associate. The role covers basic services in the operating theatres, supporting the surgical team and keeping the theatres clean and infection-controlled.
Key responsibilities
- Set up operating theatre suites and basic equipment to meet the surgical list for the day
- Clean patient trolleys and floors in the operating rooms daily, and prepare rooms between cases according to the hospital's infection control practices
- Assist the surgical team in transferring and positioning patients on the operating table
- Adjust operating theatre lights when assigned
Required profile
- GCE N or O Level
- WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Operating Theatres / Sterilisation Services) is an advantage
- Experience as an Operating Theatre Technical Assistant or Associate is preferred
- Meticulous and able to work with little supervision
- Able to work three rotating shifts (7am to 3.35pm, 1pm to 9.35pm, 9pm to 7.30am), including weekends and public holidays
- Fully vaccinated for COVID
