About the role
The Operational Risk Manager acts as a second line of defence risk partner, supporting senior management and front office teams in a financial services organisation. The role identifies, assesses and challenges operational risks arising from day-to-day activities, change initiatives and strategic projects, and helps maintain a strong risk culture and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, assess and challenge material operational risks across business-as-usual, change and strategic initiatives
- Lead and support core risk activities such as RCSA, scenario analysis, root cause analysis and issue remediation
- Advise on risk appetite, KRIs and risk acceptances
- Oversee controls, policies and remediation plans, including incident management, policy breaches and business continuity planning
- Support new business, change initiatives and strategic projects from a risk perspective
- Deliver risk MI, analysis and insights to risk committees and leadership forums
- Promote a strong risk culture through engagement and training
Required profile
- Operational risk experience in financial services
- Right to work in the region
- Willingness to work on site; employment for a minimum of 2 weeks starting 30/07/2026
