Operations and Customer Quality Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations and Customer Quality Engineer to develop and apply quality standards for semiconductor equipment. The role involves designing test methods, evaluating product precision, and supporting customers worldwide from our Singapore hub.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply quality standards in line with company and customer requirements.
• Design and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures for products and production equipment.
• Prepare documentation for inspection and testing processes and recommend corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Gather operational and test data, analyze results, and track qualification status.
• Participate in audits and review reliability test results, determining disposition of non‑compliant products.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards to adapt measurement devices and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong conceptual knowledge in quality engineering and the ability to broaden technical capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply this insight to daily tasks.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members and collaborates effectively.
• Proven problem‑solving skills using technical experience and sound judgment.
