Operations Assistant - Concrete Batching Plant

About the role

This Operations Assistant position works at a concrete batching plant in Singapore, coordinating with customers on concrete orders and supporting the production, quality checks and delivery of concrete to job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers on concrete orders, slump checking on site and cube making
• Receive and ensure accurate pumping of cement, admixtures and diesel at the batching plant
• Batch and dispatch concrete to various job sites
• Perform cubes and slump tests according to each project's specifications
• Liaise with the lab for quality control through sampling tests
• Attend coordination meetings and prepare for delivery and concreting arrangements
• Assist with mockup testing and installation of monitoring devices to track concrete quality
• Check concrete conditions such as surface and temperature, and support finishing and protection of freshly cast concrete
• Support quality checks, defect identification and repair work at the batching plant and customer sites
• Maintain daily production records and accurate entries on the QT card
• Keep regular contact with batching plants and the command centre for smooth material delivery, and ensure barge and truck schedules are accurate

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education level or equivalent; no prior experience required, training provided
• Able to read, understand and communicate in English
• Willing to work rotating shifts
• Independent worker with a positive attitude under tight schedules, good team player and hardworking
