Operations Associate – Clinical Trial Logistics

About the role

The Operations Associate plays a critical role in managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of clinical trial and commercial drug supplies for UPS. Working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment, you will ensure that all activities comply with cGMP standards and meet client delivery expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive clinical trial and commercial drug supplies according to established procedures.
• Generate shipping documentation for study requests and create inventory pick lists in the warehouse management system.
• Physically pick drug supplies, including lab kits, and inspect items prepared by other associates.
• Prepare export documentation, process shipment acknowledgments, and perform JIT and batch‑record labeling.
• Maintain accurate filing, archiving, and post‑shipment notifications to clients.
• Conduct stock control activities such as periodic cycle counts and generate purchase orders.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Strong command of English and effective communication across all levels.
• Warehouse experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting, and willingness to work briefly in cold‑room conditions (2–8 °C).
• Prior experience in clinical trial, pharmaceutical, or healthcare logistics is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
