Operations Customer Service Assistant

About the role

The Operations Customer Service Assistant supports UPS’s contract logistics business by ensuring smooth communication and accurate processing of client inventory movements. You will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers, handling documentation, order entry, and issue resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage communication with clients, carrier brokers, and internal teams for service and administration needs.
• Process all inbound and outbound inventory documentation in accordance with client requirements.
• Verify receiving paperwork, ensure legal compliance, and handle order processing promptly.
• Confirm bills of lading, maintain accurate shipping records, and process authorized inventory adjustments.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns, documenting resolutions and shipping errors.
• Maintain working instructions, ensure ISO quality compliance, and update procedures as needed.
• Assist with dispatch planning, coordinate daily KPI reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑4+ years experience in contract logistics or 3PL environments.
• 2‑3+ years customer service experience with strong administrative and data‑entry skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced setting.
