Operations Management Manager – 12hr Permanent Night Shift

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations Management Manager to lead production activities on a permanent 12‑hour night shift in Singapore. The role oversees manufacturing of capital equipment and ensures high quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting the company’s semiconductor and advanced display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test and final test functions for capital equipment manufacturing.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Participate in operational meetings, track performance metrics and conduct milestone reviews.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues, manage cost‑of‑quality analyses and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee safety compliance, environmental health and safety training, and accident prevention.
• Develop personnel through training, performance management, hiring, and career development.
• Support capacity optimization, implement Lean, safety and quality initiatives, and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of procedures and concepts within the operations job family.
• Formal supervisory responsibilities with ability to set priorities and coach employees.
• Strong judgment to resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems.
• Ability to impact team quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive issues and interact with customers, vendors or suppliers.
