Operations Management Manager – Build

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations Management Manager (Build) to lead production and operational functions for its capital equipment manufacturing in Singapore. The role oversees assembly, inspection, test and final test activities, ensuring quality, safety and on‑time delivery while supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across production functions such as assembly, inspection, test and final test for capital equipment and subsystems.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Lead operational meetings, milestone reviews and performance‑metric tracking.
• Ensure timely response to operational issues affecting customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee safety compliance, accident prevention and required environmental, health and safety training.
• Develop personnel through training, career development, performance management and hiring processes.
• Support capacity‑optimization analysis, implement Lean, safety and quality initiatives, and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of procedures within the job family and basic knowledge of related functions.
• Ability to relate team activities to adjacent areas to improve overall efficiency.
• Formal supervisory experience with the ability to set priorities and coach employees.
• Strong judgment to identify and resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational problems.
