Operations Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing, is seeking an Operations Management Manager in Singapore. You will lead production and operation functions, ensuring high‑quality delivery of capital equipment and systems while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test, and final test activities for capital equipment manufacturing.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and material requirements.
• Support development and tracking of performance metrics, schedule milestone meetings, and improve cycle‑time performance.
• Address operations issues impacting customer satisfaction and ensure compliance with customer/vendor requirements.
• Oversee safety, environmental, health, and training programs for all department personnel.
• Develop staff through training, performance management, hiring, rewards, and discipline processes.
• Analyze capacity optimization, implement process improvements, and drive Lean, Safety, and Quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of procedures within the operations and production job family.
• Ability to set priorities, coach employees, and meet daily deadlines.
• Strong judgment to resolve technical and operational problems.
• Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive issues and interact with customers, vendors, or suppliers.
