Operations Management Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations Management Manager to lead production and operation functions for its capital equipment and systems in Singapore. The role oversees assembly, inspection, test and final test activities, ensuring high quality and on‑time delivery. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive efficiency, safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees across assembly, inspection, test and final test processes for capital equipment manufacturing.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Lead operational meetings, milestone reviews and performance‑metric tracking.
• Ensure timely response to issues affecting customer satisfaction and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee safety, environmental and health training, and enforce compliance with safety policies.
• Develop personnel through training, performance management, hiring and disciplinary processes.
• Support capacity‑optimization analyses and implement lean, safety and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing procedures and related job families.
• Ability to set priorities, coach teams and meet daily production deadlines.
• Strong judgment for solving technical and operational problems.
• Effective interpersonal skills for handling sensitive issues and interacting with customers, vendors or suppliers.
