Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing, is seeking an Operations Manager for its Singapore site. The role is responsible for overseeing production, optimizing resource utilization, and driving continuous improvement to ensure on‑time delivery of high‑quality products.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor production metrics, budgets and plant capacity, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Plan and control project schedules, timelines and resource allocation to minimize costs.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate personnel to achieve production and supply‑chain goals while adhering to 5S, safety and quality standards.
• Drive Lean, safety and quality initiatives, identify process improvements and implement new technologies to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior management to align operational development with business objectives.

Required profile

• In‑depth understanding of manufacturing concepts and related job families.
• Proven ability to manage a homogeneous team and adapt plans to operational challenges.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to resolve technical, operational and organizational issues.
• Ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders.
