Operations Manager

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Operations Manager to lead production and supply‑chain activities at its Singapore facility. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient, on‑time delivery of semiconductor equipment while driving continuous improvement and cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and monitor production metrics, budgets and plant capacity, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Plan, control and evaluate project schedules, timelines and resource utilisation to minimise costs.
• Direct and mentor personnel to meet production and supply‑chain goals, enforcing 5S, safety and quality standards.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, Lean projects and adoption of new technologies to enhance cycle time and profitability.
• Collaborate with senior management to align operational development with business opportunities.
• Identify and implement process and quality changes, driving safety, quality and Lean compliance.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing concepts and related job families.
• Proven leadership of homogeneous teams, adapting plans to operational challenges.
• Strong problem‑solving ability to resolve technical, operational and organisational issues.
• Ability to influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders.
