Operations Modelling Engineer (PLN)

About the role

Micron Semiconductor Operation Asia Pte Ltd is looking for an Operations Modelling Engineer at its Fab 10N/X site. The role applies industrial engineering concepts to develop and maintain planning models for production equipment capacities, facility system capacities, production material flow and other fab metrics over a medium-to-long term horizon (up to three years). It ensures efficient management of fab metrics through scenario comparison and optimisation, with constant communication with stakeholders on business plans and scenario studies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and validate capacity and space models using industrial engineering concepts to assess production loading and output needs accurately.
• Develop models for non-equipment capabilities needed to meet fab output requirements.
• Manage complex projects across several departments and sites, working proactively with them to identify improvements and actions.
• Coordinate the site industrial engineering teams to improve production metrics and optimise the use of capital expenditure.
• Use scenario analysis to understand the impact of output changes on metrics.
• Provide inputs and support for network optimisation and long-term strategy discussions.
• Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work and share AI-enabled improvements with colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical skills and logical thinking.
• Good written communication and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated, with good integrity and character, able to multi-task and meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in programming, Python and SQL (an added advantage).
• Ability to use AI tools such as Copilot, Claude and Gemini responsibly (an added advantage).
