Paralegal – Contracts Executive (Technical Services)

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Paralegal to support the review, drafting, organisation and administration of commercial contracts within a technical services environment. The role works closely with engineering, operations and sales/project teams to ensure contracts accurately reflect operational and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review client and vendor contracts, identify commercial risks and analyse clauses on liability, indemnities, insurance, payment terms, shipping, termination and governing law.
• Prepare contract mark‑ups, suggested amendments and draft NDAs, consultancy agreements, service agreements and subcontractor contracts.
• Maintain a structured contract repository, version control and track renewals, expiry dates and key obligations.
• Support development of internal contract templates and checklists.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to align contracts with scope of work and technical deliverables.
• Assist with insurance compliance checks, subcontractor documentation reviews and vendor/client due diligence.
• Provide summaries of contractual risks and key obligations for management.
• Prepare internal briefings and address contractual issues before escalation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in a paralegal or contracts support role.
• Exposure to engineering, maritime, offshore, oil & gas or technical services environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with commercial contracts and risk allocation.
