Partner Risk Monitoring Specialist

About the role

Wise is looking for a Partner Risk Monitoring Specialist in Singapore to play a critical role in ensuring Wise adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements. You will monitor the banks and online platforms partnering with Wise on Wise Platform, checking that partners onboard customers in line with their compliance policies, Wise's requirements and regulatory obligations. The team is cross-functional and spans sales, account management, product, engineering, compliance and analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing monitoring of Wise Platform partners in line with internal policies and procedures
• Assess customers' risks using risk-based approaches and monitor complex, high-risk customers, documenting risks and applying mitigation measures
• Assess potential reputational and financial crime risk from sanctions, PEP and adverse media perspectives
• Escalate and report compliance concerns to Financial Crime Oversight and other compliance teams, and communicate with other teams on escalated cases
• Answer daily inquiries from peers, frontline staff and management on case analysis
• Maintain a strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, KYC requirements and how they affect the business and Wise's products
• Understand business models, customer types, country risks and regulatory requirements across multiple geographies

Required profile

• A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in financial services, compliance roles or at a regulator
• Expertise in compliance risk assessment and monitoring, with a thorough understanding of AML and CTF requirements
• Proven ability to manage risk and advise on compliance strategy
• Background in quality assurance, with meticulous due diligence documentation
• Strong stakeholder management and excellent verbal and written English (additional languages a plus)
