Patient Service Associate - Financial Counselling (Admission Office)

Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), an anchor hospital of NHG Health, is one of Singapore's largest multidisciplinary hospitals with over 11,000 staff and more than 2,000 beds. As a Financial Counselling Patient Service Associate in the Admission Office, you will support patients and their families by providing financial counselling, explaining healthcare financing and payment options, and helping them navigate a smooth admission process.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient registration, collect deposits and provide financial counselling so patients can make informed healthcare financing decisions.
• Counsell patients and next-of-kin at the Admission Office on ward class charges, bill estimates, available subsidies and payment options, in line with the Healthcare Services Act.
• Stay up to date on healthcare financing initiatives, policies and schemes.
• Process ward upgrade and downgrade requests, explaining charge differences and subsidy implications.
• Coordinate with the Business Office, Emergency Department, inpatient wards and Medical Social Workers on admission and financing matters.
• Handle administrative duties related to patient admissions and other assigned tasks.
• Show care, empathy and professionalism in all interactions.

Required profile

• Diploma, NITEC/Higher NITEC in any discipline, or GCE 'A'/'O'/'N' Level.
• Prior experience in customer service, frontline operations or a service-related role is advantageous.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented and empathetic approach.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and handle financial and administrative information accurately.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with basic computer applications.
