Patient Service Associate - Patient Service Centre (2 Rotating Shifts)

About the role

NHG is hiring a Patient Service Associate for its Patient Service Centre, working two rotating shifts. The role covers patient reception, registration, admissions and discharges, appointment booking, billing and collection, and keeping case notes ready for the next day.

Key responsibilities

• Receive patients and visitors at the counter and attend to enquiries from internal and external customers
• Handle registration, admissions, discharges and financial counselling for patients and next-of-kin
• Discharge SSSU patients from the previous day via SAP
• Check and confirm endoscopy procedures in the Endo Centre using ENDOSys
• Take bookings for UBT, colonoscopy and OGD appointments in OTS and coordinate procedure listings
• Update financial documents so Medisave, private medical insurance and letters of guarantee are recorded in the system and business folders
• Ensure business folders and case notes are available for the next day's procedures, segregated by procedure date
• Make sure services rendered and charges are billed and entered promptly, and collect payments for services rendered
• Schedule follow-up appointments for discharged patients and help receive, file and dispatch case notes
• Keep the Perl-operative counters clean and tidy, and assist in collecting data for statistics
• Participate in process improvement projects, work cooperatively with other departments, and take on other duties when assigned

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'N' Level, ITE NITEC, ITE Higher NITEC or Diploma
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work morning and afternoon shifts
• Relevant experience is an advantage

• Use of SAP, ENDOSys and OTS systems
