Piping Engineer – Design & Construction

About the role

The Piping Engineer will be responsible for the technical aspects of assigned projects, delivering complete and coordinated design packages such as calculations, drawings, specifications and reports. Working closely with senior engineers, the role supports project completion within budget and schedule while monitoring daily engineering activities and contractor progress.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Piping General Arrangement, isometric and vessel trim drawings.
• Develop pipe stress analyses for critical lines and review standard pipe support details.
• Conduct material take‑offs, compile the Piping Bill of Materials and prepare material requisitions.
• Assist in creating piping material specifications, pipe support specifications and equipment layout drawings.
• Generate tie‑in lists, tie‑in location plans and support plot‑plan preparation.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of design and construction experience in petrochemical, refinery or chemical projects.
• Experience with plant design and piping engineering works.
• Basic understanding of equipment/piping layout and space management.

Required skills

• Pipe stress analysis.
• Isometric and GA drawing preparation/review.
• Material take‑offs and Bill of Materials compilation.
• Piping material and pipe‑support specification development.
• Plot‑plan and equipment layout drafting.
