Planner II

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Planner II to act as the customer interface for demand plans and shipment information. The role develops a feasible operational plan, maintains ownership of its execution, aims for customer satisfaction, minimizes Jabil's liability and continuously improves planning performance. It typically reports to a Planning Supervisor or Planning Manager and does not involve managing other employees.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the business unit and customer to develop a collaborative demand plan through the Demand Management Process
• Create a master schedule through resource analysis, including material and capacity sizing
• Load the master schedule into the Jabil ERP system
• Create and maintain a feasible production plan and work closely with operations to execute it
• Develop revenue forecasts, monitor actual performance and drive corrective action and recovery plans when revenue targets are at risk
• Monitor planning metrics and drive continuous improvement
• Comply with company security policies and rules of the road, and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of materials-related experience, or a Master's degree without experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
• 1 to 2 years of materials-related experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Strong verbal and written English, and effective communication with customers and colleagues

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
• Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil's software packages
• Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to determine logistics requirements and devise strategies to meet business targets
