Planner – Production & Materials Control

About the role

The Planner will manage production planning, inventory control, and material resources planning (MRP) to ensure timely delivery of materials to manufacturing and engineering teams. This role supports the semiconductor and advanced display equipment business by maintaining accurate supply‑demand balances and driving continuous improvement in material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP order release schedule, reschedule jobs, and perform pre‑shortage analysis to increase component availability.
• Review MRP execution, reconcile supply and demand, and validate master scheduling requirements.
• Collaborate with buyers and planners to manage material impacted by engineering change orders (ECOs) and ensure proper disposition.
• Conduct regular system maintenance, audits, and generate status reports for ECOs/ECRs.
• Participate in floor audits, resolve WIP issues, and attend production meetings to report material shortage commit dates.
• Analyze inventory usage data, order parts to meet service levels, and expedite shortages.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions from PCI reporting, cycle counting, and variance investigations.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in planning discipline with basic knowledge of related areas.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Solves complex problems by integrating multiple sources of information and exercising sound judgment.
• Communicates difficult information clearly and builds consensus across teams.
