Planner – Strategic Planning & Policy

About the role

The Planner will support Singapore’s long‑term land use planning by reviewing and updating the Long Term Land Use Plan. This role focuses on integrating transportation, housing, ageing, environmental impact and sustainability considerations into strategic policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update strategic land‑use and infrastructure plans for Singapore’s future development.
• Formulate, review and translate land‑use policies into detailed planning guidelines.
• Utilise GIS tools and develop analytical applications to support planning decisions.
• Conduct research on urban development trends and provide insights for a liveable, resilient city.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise land use and integrate transportation and environmental planning.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in policy research, review or formulation.
• Background in urban/regional planning, civil engineering, transport planning, environmental studies, geography or related fields.
• Strong interest in Singapore’s physical urban development.
• Excellent analytical, writing, presentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
