Planner – Urban and Land Use Planning

About the role

You will play an integral part in shaping Singapore’s public housing landscape by contributing to the physical and land‑use planning of new HDB towns, estates and rejuvenation projects. The role combines master‑planning, digital tools and cross‑agency collaboration to create livable environments for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct master‑planning and land‑use planning for new HDB towns and estates, as well as rejuvenation planning for existing communities.
• Perform planning research and analysis to develop strategies, guidelines and implementation programmes.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies on land‑use proposals, development plans and facilities provision, securing necessary approvals and clearances.
• Engage with stakeholders to evaluate proposals, respond to queries and safeguard resident interests.
• Explore and develop digital planning tools and applications to enhance urban design capabilities and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in Town Planning, Urban & Regional Planning or a related discipline.
• Relevant town‑planning experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable working with data and collaborating effectively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro.
• Familiarity with planning and data‑analytics tools and applications.
