Plant Manager – Semiconductor Module Packaging

About the role

Chipstone Electronics is seeking a hands‑on Plant Manager to lead daily operations at its clean‑room module packaging facility in Woodlands, Singapore. The role combines direct production involvement with leadership as the plant scales from 12 to 30‑40 employees.

Key responsibilities

• Own plant output, quality, delivery, cost and safety performance.
• Run daily production, resolving manpower, equipment, material and process issues.
• Plan capacity, shift schedules and headcount as the plant grows.
• Recruit, train and manage operators, supervisors and technical staff.
• Establish SOPs, work instructions and production controls.
• Maintain clean‑room, ESD, contamination‑control and workplace safety standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to improve yield, reduce defects and minimise downtime.
• Coordinate production schedules, materials and inventory to meet delivery requirements.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and proper management of plant facilities.
• Track and report output, yield, downtime, manpower, costs and operational risks.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience, including plant or production leadership.
• Experience in semiconductor or electronic module packaging.
• Background working in a clean‑room or controlled manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, equipment maintenance, ESD and workplace safety.
• Proven ability to build and manage shift‑based production teams.
• Comfortable working hands‑on in a small, growing operation.
• Practical, decisive and capable of cross‑functional problem solving.
