Platform Engineer, ITD (1 Year Contract)

About the role

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is a government agency under the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry. Its Information Technology Division builds digital products that improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business value, working in cross-functional teams of product managers, designers and engineers. This Platform Engineer is a 1-year contract role focused on platforms that support the application development lifecycle and on DevSecOps automation tools.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, implement, maintain, administer, support and improve the IT infrastructure and CI/CD platform used for application development.
• Work with the Product Team to onboard new products to the platform and improve the application development process.
• Work with the Infosec Team on security best practices for applications, infrastructure and the CI/CD platform.
• Collaborate within the DevSecOps team and with other teams to improve infrastructure, CI/CD platform and development processes.
• Own, recover from and improve incidents.
• Manage procurement from requirements to award, and outsourced implementation projects with external vendors.
• Develop policies, procedures and tools for managing changes to infrastructure and CI/CD platform.
• Share knowledge and help adopt and improve DevOps culture.
• Manage and provision hosting environments through code and implement tools to do so.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting the listed tools.
• Strong system troubleshooting skills and good team player and communicator.
• Background in Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred; strong relevant experience and skills will be considered.
• Certifications in the tools, DevOps and agile application development are advantageous.
• Interest in AI code assistants, Gen AI (AIOps) and AI agents for infrastructure and cloud operations.
