Principal Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer

About the role

PhysicsX is seeking a Principal Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer to lead the development of AI‑driven simulation tools for advanced engineering and manufacturing. You will work closely with simulation engineers, machine‑learning engineers, and customers to translate complex physics challenges into practical, high‑impact AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑processing and analysis of multi‑physics data to prepare it for predictive modelling.
• Design, architect, and deploy innovative deep‑learning models combined with state‑of‑the‑art optimisation methods.
• Build, test, and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines for production environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
• Collaborate on‑site with customers to embed AI models into their engineering workflows.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with probabilistic methods and predictive modelling.
• Strong background in data‑driven modelling, deep learning, and optimisation.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams.
• Experience delivering production‑ready AI solutions in an industrial context.
