Principal, Payments SME (Payments Transformation)

About the role

Infosys is hiring a Principal-level Payments Subject Matter Expert in Singapore. The role leads payment transformation programmes for financial services clients, acting as a trusted advisor to senior executives and leading a team of consultants and business analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate and build long-term relationships with senior executive clients (C-suite, business heads, VPs) in the financial services sector on payment transformation.
• Act as a subject matter expert for payment solution transformation programmes, advising, shaping and delivering solutions to client business challenges.
• Lead a team of consultants and business analysts for end-to-end payment transformation programmes covering Asia-Pacific and cross-border payment schemes, with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with business units, operation units and technology partners to ensure end-to-end system and process delivery.
• Work closely with the payments practice lead to develop payment offerings and support the go-to-market plan.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in payments strategy or operations teams or in a consulting firm delivering transformation projects.
• Deep understanding of Asia-Pacific and cross-border payment schemes.
• Proven ability to define and deliver solutions in Finastra Global Pay Plus or similar products, with 8-10 years of experience in payment implementations and exposure to business analysis methodologies and frameworks.
• Proven consulting experience in business, IT, digital or acquisition across the payment ecosystem.
• Ability to engage clients on challenging business issues and build strong relationships at senior management level.

Required skills

• Solid domain knowledge of Asia-Pacific payment systems (RTGS, NEFT, ACH, CITAD, G3 Fast, Payroll) and cross-border payments.
• Excellent knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messages, including MT 1xx series, MT 940/MT 942, local file formats and payment hub implementation.
• Experience in digital and traditional payments, ATMs, EFTPOS and corporate and financial institution payments.
• Strong English verbal and written communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
