About the role

The Principal Pharmacist, Informatics Specialist will lead the integration and optimisation of technology within pharmacy operations at Tengah General and Community Hospital. This senior position combines deep pharmacy expertise with a strong focus on digital solutions to improve workflow efficiency and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance the utilisation of technology across pharmacy services.
• Research, evaluate and procure innovative technology solutions that align with pharmacy needs.
• Implement, configure and integrate selected systems, ensuring seamless operation.
• Develop test plans, conduct testing, troubleshoot issues and maintain system functionality.
• Lead audits, manage data extraction, reporting and ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Create training materials, deliver user support on‑site and provide after‑hours assistance when required.
• Define user requirements, maintain comprehensive documentation and support business continuity.
• Collaborate with procurement, medical informatics, and other stakeholders to ensure proper system setup and interoperability.

Required profile

• Extensive pharmacy experience combined with a strong background in health informatics.
• Proven ability to manage technology projects and lead cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for data validation and reporting.
• Effective communication skills to develop training programmes and support end‑users.
