Principal/Senior Engineer - BIM & Digital Engineering

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is hiring a Principal/Senior Engineer to implement, govern and promote the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Engineering practices across its infrastructure projects. The role improves project delivery, information management, collaboration and engineering outcomes by applying BIM standards, processes and technologies, working closely with project teams, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve BIM standards, workflows, templates and governance frameworks.
• Support project teams in BIM execution planning, model coordination and digital delivery.
• Review BIM deliverables for compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Establish and maintain information management practices, and facilitate collaboration between project teams, consultants and contractors.
• Promote digital engineering initiatives and BIM adoption and capability development among internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor emerging BIM technologies, industry developments and best practices.

Required profile

• Knowledge in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment or another relevant discipline.
• Experience in engineering consultancy, design development, construction or infrastructure project delivery.
• Practical experience in BIM implementation, coordination or digital delivery, and with multidisciplinary project teams on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Familiarity with BIM governance, information management and project information requirements.
• Preferred: BIM standards development and governance, CDE knowledge, digital engineering transformation experience, model-based review and coordination exposure, and basic scripting or automation with tools such as Dynamo or Python.

Required skills

• BIM methodologies and digital delivery workflows.
• ISO 19650 and information management principles.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM Collaborate Pro, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRail, Bentley OpenBuildings and/or Bentley OpenTunnel.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation and analytical skills.
