Process Engineering Technician – Shift Role

About the role

As a Process Engineering Technician at Applied Materials, you will work in a cleanroom environment supporting R&D and manufacturing of advanced semiconductor processes. You will prepare wafers, operate thin‑film reactors, and use scanning electron microscopes to collect data and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare wafers for experiments and operate reactors for thin‑film deposition.
• Run scanning electron microscope analyses, record process conditions, and document observations.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot recipes, and implement changes under engineer guidance.
• Collect and share measurement data with engineers and coordinate tool time with internal and external owners.

Required profile

• ITE/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Materials Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or R&D.
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations and semiconductor processing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, and willingness to work rotating shifts.
