About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Producer for our Chinese News division in Singapore. The role involves editing, scripting and producing news content for digital, television and radio platforms, ensuring high editorial standards and engaging storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Research, script and produce local news stories from press releases, official statements, social media and reports, maintaining accuracy and editorial integrity.
• Adapt scripts for platform‑specific formats (digital, TV, radio) to ensure clarity and audience relevance.
• Commission and coordinate graphics that enhance story presentation.
• Monitor social media and digital channels for newsworthy content and follow up on leads.
• Script and edit short‑form video pieces for digital storytelling when required.
• Collaborate closely with reporters and editors to maintain smooth newsroom workflows and timely delivery across platforms.
• Develop subject‑matter expertise in assigned beats to deepen editorial quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or a related field.
• Strong news sense with solid understanding of local news and current affairs.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities with meticulous attention to language accuracy.
• Resourceful, collaborative and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
