Product Manager, Generative AI

About the role

This Product Manager, Gen AI role sits within the Innovation, GEN AI team of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO) division of IMDA's Corporate Group. The DTO develops and implements digital strategies using emerging technology and data, and the role shapes the direction of the agency's internal corporate GenAI platform and manages related projects. The manager defines the product vision, prioritises the roadmap and works with stakeholders and delivery teams to turn business and user needs into product outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define the vision, objectives and measurable outcomes of the internal corporate GenAI platform, own the product roadmap and translate needs into requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work with design and delivery teams to improve usability, document use cases and gather feedback.
• Track adoption, engagement and business outcome metrics, and develop dashboards and management reports.
• Develop user guides, training materials and communications, and run training and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, gather user feedback and prioritise improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, project teams and delivery partners on scope, timelines and milestones, prepare bi-weekly updates and executive reports, and submit product and project approvals with supporting documentation.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditure and commitments, and maintain records for audit and financial approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4 years of product management experience for digital or AI solutions.
• At least 2 years managing products involving AI or machine learning, including large language models or AI agent platforms.
• Prior experience with public-sector or government digital transformation projects.
• Awareness of AI governance, safety, data privacy and enterprise security.

Required skills

• Strong product management mindset and stakeholder communication, including facilitating workshops.
• Ability to translate complex needs into well-defined product requirements.
• Experience preparing approval submissions and audit documentation.
• Comfortable managing budgets and producing financial reports.
• Proficiency in product management, project tracking and documentation tools.
• Familiarity with GenAI applications, large language models and AI agents.
