Product Owner

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Product Owner to lead the vision and roadmap of its digital product platforms, working with business leaders and technology partners. The goal is to design next-generation product-platform experiences that increase revenue, improve efficiency or cut costs, and to deliver them through a team of Software Engineers and Business Analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product vision and roadmap in partnership with business leaders and technology partners.
• Own delivery of the agreed platform roadmap and the realization of business benefits.
• Manage a team of Software Engineers and Business Analysts, ensuring clarity of purpose and alignment with the organization's vision, mission and strategy.
• Manage stakeholders, influencing and persuading them as part of application delivery and support.
• Develop resource plans for the teams and formulate the business-technology capabilities roadmap within your area of responsibility.

Required profile

• At least 12 years of total experience, including at least 3 years in software product delivery.
• Demonstrated experience managing and delivering customer-centric software products and services in a high-growth environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional and cross-company teams to deliver products and projects on time.
• Experience with vendor engagement and RFI/RFP processes.
• An in-depth understanding of insurance, insurance products, markets and processes is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or a related field; an MBA or other relevant degree is an added advantage.
