Production Technician - Chemical Processing

About the role

Air Liquide is hiring a Production Technician for its plant in Singapore. The role is a frontline position responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of chemical processing equipment, involving monitoring of process parameters, routine checks and execution of operations while following safety and quality regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce the "No Tolerance to Deviation" and Stop Work Authority policies, escalate issues to the Production Supervisor, and take part in monthly safety meetings and the emergency response team.
• Operate assigned processes safely and efficiently to meet daily quality, production and productivity goals.
• Prioritise daily tasks with Production Supervisors, assemble and disassemble equipment for changeovers, and carry out basic maintenance.
• Operate and troubleshoot analytical equipment used for in-process testing and final product validation.
• Review and update SOPs, working instructions and learning resources so they reflect actual practice.
• Complete assigned training and qualification tasks and set annual personal goals aligned with plant objectives.

Required profile

• Nitec in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in process, production or project engineering, preferably in high-purity specialty chemicals, food, nuclear, semiconductor or pharmaceutical plants.
• Ability to learn technical chemical processes quickly and to troubleshoot process issues.
• Understanding of chemical and mechanical processing systems, and familiarity with pumps, piping, manifolds and valves.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and to communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
