Professor of Epidemiology – Tenure‑Track

About the role

The National University of Singapore’s Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health is seeking full‑time, tenure‑track Professors in Epidemiology. Appointees receive a fixed‑term contract of up to seven years with the aim of attaining a tenured position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead collaborative research proposals for extramural funding.
• Contribute to and utilise large‑scale cohort studies such as the Singapore Chinese Health Study and the Multi‑Ethnic Cohort.
• Conduct translational epidemiological research to inform public‑health interventions.
• Design and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in epidemiology and related public‑health topics.
• Supervise graduate students and junior researchers.

Required profile

• Recognised doctoral degree in epidemiology, public health, or a related discipline with a strong post‑doctoral record, OR a medical professional with postgraduate specialisation in occupational health, occupational medicine, or preventive medicine.
• Demonstrated record of publications in high‑impact international peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience leading independent research studies or major components of larger projects.
