Programmer Analyst

About the role

Jabil is looking for a Programmer Analyst who designs, develops, tests and maintains software applications supporting operational and business needs. The role works closely with cross-functional IT teams and end users to keep systems reliable, performant and continuously improving.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug and deploy software applications according to business and technical requirements
• Analyse existing systems, processes and business requirements to find improvement opportunities
• Write technical specifications, system documentation and user manuals
• Run system testing, prepare test data and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Troubleshoot application issues with infrastructure and support teams
• Support system integration, including database interfaces and application connectivity
• Install, configure and maintain applications in production and non-production environments
• Train and support end users on new or improved systems
• Take part in project planning, status reporting and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, security policies and documentation requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in application development or system support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to manage several priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills with technical and non-technical teams

• Web, Windows or mobile application development
• C#, JavaScript / jQuery, HTML5 / CSS, Python
• Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or above), including database design and query optimisation
• Microsoft Visual Studio (2017 or above)
• Software development lifecycle, coding standards and system integration concepts
