Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer – HDB Road Work

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to lead HDB road work projects across Singapore. You will manage daily site operations, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily site operations for infrastructure works such as piling, roads, drainage, utility diversions, footpaths, cycling paths, and reinforced concrete.
• Plan, monitor, and coordinate construction activities to achieve project milestones, quality standards, and schedules.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submissions before implementation.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, utility agencies and authorities (HDB, LTA, PUB, NParks, SP Group, etc.).
• Coordinate utility detection, trial trenching, inspections, testing, authority clearances and documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, plant and equipment for efficient execution.
• Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality, WSH, environmental and contractual requirements.
• Prepare progress reports, site records, RFIs, inspection requests, method statements, risk assessments and other project documentation.
• Support variation orders, progress and payment claims, and cost control activities.
• Attend site, technical, coordination and progress meetings with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore (preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Singapore’s civil engineering or infrastructure construction industry.
• Familiarity with HDB, LTA, PUB, NParks, BCA and other statutory authority requirements.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling and coordination.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, inspection procedures and construction methodologies.
• Leadership, communication, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently under tight project schedules.
