Project Manager – CO2 Capture Pilot Systems

About the role

The Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI) seeks a Project Manager to lead its CO2 capture pilot‑scale research programme. The role combines technical oversight of experimental work with coordination of multiple internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution and communication among collaborating parties.
• Work with the Principal Investigator and Co‑Investigators on experimental design, execution, troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Upgrade, operate, and maintain a pilot‑scale circulating fluidized bed system.
• Procure and commission a pilot‑scale system for producing CO2 sorbents.
• Source consumables and research equipment required for the programme.
• Liaise with industry partners, vendors, contractors, university departments and government agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline from an internationally reputable university.
• Extensive experience managing pilot‑scale research projects.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, writing and communication abilities.
• Highly productive, diligent and committed to completing assigned tasks.
