Project Manager – Construction

About the role

The Project Manager will support the Lead Consultant in overseeing residential construction projects, ensuring that site operations run smoothly and safely. This role involves coordinating multiple stakeholders, monitoring progress, and managing variations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Consultant with daily project management and operational tasks.
• Plan and supervise site logistics, including facilities, hoarding, access, and crane requirements.
• Evaluate project programmes, monitor work progress and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Implement and enforce workplace safety, health, and environmental measures.
• Arrange mock‑ups, sample unit inspections and trade demonstrations.
• Coordinate contractor submissions and queries, ensuring timely consultant responses.
• Review and evaluate contractor progress claims and acceptance inspections.
• Prepare and submit Request for Variation Orders (RVOs) and manage Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
• Track engagement of Registered Inspectors (RI Arch and RI M&E) and oversee handover inspections.
• Supervise upgrading works to maintain quality workmanship and direct site supervision activities.
• Support the Lead Consultant during the Defects Liability Period.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering, Building Science, Project Management or Construction Management, accredited by Singapore professional bodies or BCA.
• Minimum 5 years of post‑graduate experience in building construction, preferably residential, or 3 years of project management experience.
• Successful completion of a certified Construction Safety Course for Project Managers accredited by MOM.
