Project Manager – Industrial Automation

About the role

ESSHIN Electrotech is seeking a full‑time Project Manager to lead industrial automation and systems integration projects from kickoff to delivery. Based on‑site in Singapore, you will act as the primary liaison between our engineering teams and client stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, managing communication, progress updates, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, and production teams to keep design and build milestones on track.
• Prepare, review, and control technical drawings (P&IDs, electrical/wiring diagrams, panel layouts, network architecture).
• Maintain accurate I/O lists in collaboration with control and instrumentation engineers.
• Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) – scheduling, test procedures, client logistics, punch‑list tracking and closeout.
• Track project schedules, budgets, risks and issues; proactively escalate deviations.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including meeting minutes, status reports, RFIs and change requests.
• Support handover activities, as‑built documentation and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where required.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience coordinating or managing industrial automation, systems integration or control‑system projects.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Must be a Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical schematics and I/O lists.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating FAT (and preferably SAT) processes.
• Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.
• Familiarity with document‑control platforms such as SharePoint or Aconex.
• Exposure to PLC, SCADA or DCS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider).
