Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of projects, ensuring that all deliverables meet business requirements, quality standards, and budget constraints. This role requires close coordination with steering committees, platform and infrastructure teams, and the bank’s internal project management office.

Key responsibilities

• Run projects from initiation through closure, developing and tracking plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Prepare steering committee materials, record minutes, and follow up on actions to ensure timely closure.
• Enforce delivery methodologies, governance, and control processes while monitoring progress, risks, and issues.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and system delivery teams to define and communicate deliverables.
• Provide regular status updates, risk and issue escalations, and maintain an issue register until resolution.
• Analyse project dependencies and develop mitigation plans to pre‑empt issues.
• Facilitate effective communication, fostering collaboration, transparency, and accountability across functions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects through all phases.
• Strong ability to analyse risks, dependencies, and issues and to implement mitigation strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination skills, with a focus on clear reporting and escalation.
• Proficiency in spoken Japanese for stakeholder interactions.
