Project Manager – New Product Introduction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through to mass manufacturing. You will ensure customer‑committed timelines are met, risks are managed, and high‑quality outcomes are delivered while building robust project management structures for long‑term success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all NPI projects, delivering on time, within cost and quality targets.
• Drive the transition from development to mass manufacturing according to customer specifications.
• Act as the primary interface with customers on requirements, schedules, quality and manufacturing approvals.
• Collaborate with engineering and tooling teams on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and technical feasibility.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical, commercial and schedule risks.
• Establish, govern and continuously improve project management policies, frameworks and reporting.
• Provide clear project and portfolio updates to senior management.
• Plan and control project resources, budgets and timelines.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer focus.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience managing NPI projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of plastic injection moulding, injection tool fabrication or mechanical product design (preferred).
• Strong leadership experience with people‑management responsibilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Business‑oriented, cost‑conscious and detail‑focused.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Highly organised with a proactive, can‑do attitude and continuous‑improvement mindset.
