Project Manager – Supply Chain & Engineering

About the role

The Energy Research Institute @ NTU is seeking a Project Manager to lead supply chain activities for its engineering projects. You will coordinate end‑to‑end procurement, logistics and supplier management to support translational energy research and deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage work packages and lead end‑to‑end supply chain operations, including procurement, sourcing, inventory planning, logistics and supplier management.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery and risk mitigation goals.
• Conduct supplier negotiations, lead RFQ/RFP processes and manage contracts.
• Oversee inventory planning, demand forecasting and stock optimisation to minimise excess and shortages.
• Issue and track purchase orders, expedite deliveries and resolve shortages.
• Monitor supply‑chain KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, lead time and cost savings.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, finance and quality teams to align supply‑chain plans.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, trade policies and internal procurement standards.
• Lead supplier performance reviews, audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Drive projects focused on cost reduction, lead‑time reduction and supply‑risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply‑chain or procurement roles.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, inventory optimisation and cost‑reduction initiatives.
