Project Officer – Embodied AI & Robotic Manipulation

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University seeks a motivated Project Officer to advance research in embodied AI, focusing on dexterous hand robotic manipulation for household and manufacturing applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robotic foundation models for general dexterous hand manipulation using vision‑language‑action approaches.
• Create an efficient learning framework that extracts manipulation policies from human instructional videos, reducing data requirements.
• Design and implement a dexterous hand manipulation system capable of performing diverse tasks in home and industrial settings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least one year of research experience in robotic manipulation or related areas.
• Demonstrated expertise in robotic manipulation systems and familiarity with robotic foundation models.
• Publication record is a plus.
• Proficiency in ROS and Python programming.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
