Public Affairs Manager

About the role

Google is seeking a Public Affairs Manager to join its Government Affairs and Public Policy team in Singapore. You will help shape policy narratives, engage with government and industry stakeholders, and bring external perspectives into the company to inform strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute public affairs campaigns across Southeast and South Asia.
• Translate complex research into compelling visual and written content that influences regional narratives.
• Manage high‑stakes, fast‑moving programs and anticipate policy impacts in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.
• Act as a strategic lead for Google’s reputation and policy impact within frontier markets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align policy insights with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy advocacy within ASEAN or South Asian ecosystems.
• At least 7 years working in government, think tanks, public interest groups, technology industry groups, or corporate public policy organizations.
• Deep knowledge of Singapore and Southeast Asia digital‑economy policy, tech regulatory landscape, and political dynamics of frontier markets.

Required skills

• Ability to create emotionally resonant content and visual assets such as infographics and video.
