Purchasing Executive – Jurong Island

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Executive to support procurement activities for our power plant construction projects on Jurong Island. You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, managing purchase orders, and ensuring smooth import and delivery of construction materials.

Key responsibilities

• Source and compare quotes from local and overseas suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality.
• Follow up on purchase orders, delivery schedules, and order confirmations to maintain timely procurement.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues and ensure on‑time receipt of materials.
• Maintain and update procurement records and supplier databases for accurate tracking.
• Support bidding and inquiry processes by gathering and organizing required documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to assess material requirements and monitor stock levels.
• Assist in preparing procurement documents and drafting basic contracts.
• Track and organize shipping, customs clearance, and transport documents for smooth imports.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and invoice tracking.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement within the construction industry (essential).
• Familiarity with Singapore suppliers of steel, cable, hardware, pipe fittings, and related construction materials.
• Understanding of licensing or certification requirements for importing special materials, e.g., FPC certification for steel.
• Knowledge of basic customs clearance processes.
