Purchasing Supervisor (Front End)

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is hiring a Purchasing Supervisor (Front End) in Singapore. The role oversees procurement activities, ensuring materials, products and services are acquired in a timely and cost-effective way. It also supervises purchasing staff, manages supplier relationships, drives continuous improvement and ensures compliance with procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily purchasing activities and review and approve purchase requisitions and purchase orders within authorized limits.
• Monitor inventory levels, supplier lead times and demand forecasts to avoid shortages and excess stock.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, evaluate and review suppliers on quality, delivery, service and cost, and negotiate pricing, terms and contracts.
• Resolve delivery, quality and service issues with suppliers and coordinate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Logistics.
• Supervise, coach and develop purchasing team members, set performance goals, provide training and foster accountability and collaboration.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing, analyse spending patterns and drive process improvements, including digitalization and automation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, ethics and regulations, keep accurate records, support audits and follow approved supplier and sourcing strategies.
