QA Engineer – Product Quality & Compliance

About the role

Excelitas Technologies is seeking a QA Engineer to lead product quality planning and compliance for its manufacturing operations in Singapore. The role involves managing quality documentation, supporting new product introductions, and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage product quality, including qualification, design validation, and creation of Acceptance Test Plans, Inspection Plans, SOPs, and calibration procedures.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, specification development, and transition to production.
• Lead yield improvement projects using statistical tools and Six Sigma methodology.
• Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities, non‑conforming material disposition, and supplier quality issues.
• Coordinate customer returns (RMA), root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and monthly performance reporting.
• Support and maintain the site Quality Management System (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and assist with internal, supplier, and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field (or Associate/Diploma with ≥5 years manufacturing experience).
• Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably optics, life sciences, medical, semiconductor, or avionics.
• Experience with customer and supplier quality management, NPI, change control, and clean‑room/GMP environments.
• Hands‑on experience as a certified auditor for ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 is highly desirable.
