QAQC Supervisor – Structural Steel Projects

About the role

The QAQC Supervisor will lead quality assurance and control activities for a high‑profile arena project, focusing on the massive long‑span structural steel roof and seating tiers. This role ensures all steel fabrication, welding, and testing meet Singapore BCA CONQUAS standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and method statements for long‑span steel structures.
• Inspect incoming structural steel components, verify mill certificates, dimensional tolerances and geometric alignment of prefabricated trusses.
• Witness and document welding, Non‑Destructive Testing (UT, MPI, RT) and high‑strength bolting torque verification.
• Identify defects, issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), and supervise rectification, re‑testing and sign‑off of non‑conforming elements.
• Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with Singapore BCA CONQUAS and structural safety standards, maintaining traceability logs and test records for handover.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Singapore BCA Certified QM / CONQUAS Supervisor.
• 5‑8 years of QA/QC experience on long‑span steel roofs, heavy trusses or stadium‑tier projects.
• Strong communication skills to enforce NCRs.
• Physical fitness for high‑altitude steel inspections.
